Gateway Academy to the Arts: Acting, Private, and Group Voice Instructor
Fall 2017-February 2022


Provided instruction to students ages 8-18 in fundamentals of acting, improvisation, choral & solo singing in addition to basic music theory.  Established a classroom environment that supports the social and emotional growth of the student and encourages individual creative expression.  Selected vocal repertoire and acting scenes for presentation at the end of the year variety show as well as staging group numbers and assisting backstage during annual 6 show dress rehearsal/performance weekends.

Westridge School for Girls; Music Director, Choreographer, Production Team
Fall 2014-March 2017


Working within the Westridge Theatre Department for their 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017 Seasons.  Served as Music Director and Choreographer for their productions of Into the Woods and A Little Princess, Music Director for Mary Poppins, and as the choreographer for A Midsummer Night's Dream.  Duties included; selection of audition and callback musical materials, collaboration with production staff, management of vocal and choreography rehearsals, choreography design, general musical score instruction, assistance in interviewing orchestra musicians, communication with audio engineers with regards to vocal and instrumental balance.

The Galloway School
Summer 2016-February 2017


Member of the G360, staff at The Galloway School.  Responsible for after school supervision of children ages 5-11 as well as creating daily activity lesson plans to provide additional activities for the students.  Other responsibilities included: schedule coordination between enrichment classes and after care program, homework assistance, basic first aid, communication between staff, students, and parents, conflict management, facilities management, and support of students’ social and educational development.

Polytechnic Summer School
Summer 2015-Summer 2016


Instructor for Polytechnic’s six week summer school program.  Created and implemented lesson plans for a literature course Around the World in 15 Days , Theatre Games, and a musical theatre course On Broadway.  Classes were comprised of incoming K-1 students.   As the lead teacher, responsibilities included: classroom attendance and management, integration of technology within lessons, selection of age appropriate literature and music, coordination and delegation of tasks to teacher’s assistants, general communication between myself, parents, and various summer school faculty.

Glendale Center Theatre
June 2011-2013


Position as the singing instructor for all age groups (6-14), and acting instructor (6-10).  Singing class included teaching two songs from the musical theatre genre for each age group, as well as creating and implementing blocking and choreography for each song.  As the acting instructor, activities included instruction in fundamental acting exercises, creation of original scene work, and implementation of blocking for scene.  Students performed music and acting scenes at the conclusion of each three week session.

Discovery OnStage of Monrovia
July 2010-2012


Instructed children ages 6-15 in voice and diction.  Also instructed acting and directed a short play for children ages 6-8.  Outside of instruction, participated in set construction, conflict resolution, prop construction, and general safety and first-aid administration for all age levels.

STAGES St. Louis Performing Arts Academy

Position which includes team teaching musical theatre and creative expression based courses.  Class instruction includes music, dance, and acting fundamentals-incorporating skills in musical numbers and scene selections complete with blocking and choreography.

Directed productions, interacted with children both in a directorial/instructional capacity and as a mentor and friend.
