She continued her education at Oklahoma City University, receiving a Masters in Musical Theatre Performance.  In addition to her coursework, Mary also continued her musical theatre production work.  Mainstage show positions included: The Music Man (A.D. to Director Dr. David Herendeen), Pirates of Penzance (A.C. to Choreographer Amy Reynolds-Reed).  She also served as a director for the OCU Stripped Project and OCU Stripped New Musical Project.  These student run productions produced one established musical and a new works festival each year.  Performances were done with limited budgets and set pieces, thereby stretching the imagination of both the director and the audience.

Mary began her career in the performing arts at age 5 with her debut as the "2nd sheep on the left" in her church's production of The Nativity Story.  In addition to a breakthrough performance as Sheep #2, The Nativity Story was also her first foray into directing as she corrected her fellow sheep's blocking and spoke/sang the rest of the casts' dialogue and songs during show performances; all memorialized on VHS.

Mary attended Murray State University and received a B.A. in Vocal Performance, with a minor in dance.  While at Murray State, she performed with the critically acclaimed Murray State Concert Choir, participated in Mainstage and Blackbox productions, worked in the Murray State Theatre Dept. Costume Shop, and was an active member of the Murray State Dance Company.  She also served on the Campus Lights Board of Production, a student run organization responsible for producing annual full-scale musicals, choreographed a production of Annie Get Your Gun, and also choreographed a dance suite for the Murray Dance Company.
